Making Candles Instructions

making candles instructions
I am just starting making candles. I bought a starter kit to practice with and just made my first batch.?

My question is, all of them sunk or cracked at the top. I followed the instructions carefully. What am I doing wrong? And where can I purchase really high quality fragrance oils and wax, that manufacturers like Salt City Candles or Gold Canyon Candles uses? I don’t want to make Cheap Candles. I am going for the gold! :)

It is normal for this to happen if you are not using a one pour wax. To get the tops even just do a second pour and the tops will be flat. I get all my waxes at www.candlescience.com and www.cajuncandles.com they both have good quality wax. The candle companies you are talking about have their own formulas so you will never be able to have the same as theirs but that doesn’t mean that yours can’t be as good as better. I use a C-3 soy wax for my soy it is a one pour wax and I use 4627 for paraffin and its a one pour. You can even blend waxes. Of course now there is Palm wax thats getting popular. Mia Bella has a vegetable blend wax and are some of the most highly fragrant and the cleanest burning candles I have ever seen. They have all the other candle companies beat no doubt about it. Go to www.butterflycandles.scent-team.com and check out their candles.
